EMCOMM Go Box

I picked up a nice rugged electronics air-cargo shipping container at a local military surplus store to serve as my Go-Box.
Here is what I have in my Go-Box: Icom IC-706MkIIG
Icom AH-4 tuner
MFJ 12 volt power supply
AC Outlet strip
AC extension cord
Random wire antenna for use with AH-4 (73′)
2 or 3 lengths of RG-8x coax
AH-4 tuner extension cable
If you have an Icom AH-4 tuner, you may be as bewildered as I was in selecting an appropriate wire length that would NOT inhibit you from working all the bands. I finally stumbled across an Excel file that somebody put together which builds a graphical chart showing the lengths to AVOID…and thus by inference which lengths are OK to use.

Download the zip file here: AH-4 Graphical Wire Length Calculator 2.2.zip
